We created OLIS SKIN to do our part to dismantle outdated beauty standards by making inclusivity our foundation, not an afterthought. Every face, body, and story is celebrated here, period.
We honor the diversity of human skin in all its forms. Society often portrays flawless complexions as the ideal, however, skin has texture, marks, and changes over time. Acne, wrinkles, scars, etc., etc., are natural and normal characteristics of our body's largest organ.
Taking care of your skin is a personal journey that can positively impact your well-being. We believe being comfortable in your own skin, whatever that means for you, is the ultimate skin goal. When you leave OLIS SKIN, we hope you feel seen, valued and looked after. We looking forward to being a part of your skin journey.

I'm happy you're here.
After several decades of working in creative fields, from floral design to managing world renowned tattoo studios, I finally unearthed my passion in nursing. Witnessing individuals at their most vulnerable moments and being entrusted with their care has deepened my capacity for compassion. This privilege has taught me to set aside biases and judgments, allowing me to provide truly empathetic and wholistic care to all. These diverse experiences have honed my skills, shaping me into a highly competent and empathetic practitioner.
So, how did my professional path evolve from traditional nursing to offering professional skin treatments?
My intro to the skincare world began when I started dating my partner, Kristen. She has spent her entire career in the beauty industry so I naturally began to dip my toes in as well. What began as us having our own spa days at home, soon grew into a cherished daily ritual. I looked forward to my skincare routine, not just for the visible improvements to my skin, but for the meditative quality it brought to my day. As someone who has dedicated her life to caring for others, this practice became a vital form of self-care. And at 46, I’m more confident with my skin than I was at 36.
As an androgynous Queer woman, I've often felt intimidated and out of place in traditional self care establishments (massage studios, spas, salons) that tend to focus on conventional feminine beauty standards. These experiences have inspired me to create something different - OLIS SKIN- a safe skin space that is judgment-free and re-charging, for any human seeking professional skin treatments.
I’m stoked to meet you,
Nurse Jen
